As an estimator you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects and providing proposals to customers. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of (5) years experience in estimating and design of residential HVAC systems and 5-10 years in HVAC installation. This role also requires strong analytical skills and computer skills, and the ability to communicate with customers and project managers/leads.

Candidates must possess a diverse mechanical background in residential new construction HVAC design, and have previous field installation experience, and possess strong computer skills.

Job Duties:

  • Review prospective jobs with other project managers and meet with the customer for a site review and full understanding of scope of work
  • Read and interpret plans and blue prints to design systems.
  • Prepare a full estimate for material, labor and equipment using a company template, adjusting for conditions as necessary.
  • Order equipment and materials and communicate with the warehouse daily.
  • Communicate with customer throughout the project and assure a smooth execution of the project.
  • Good communication, organization and customer service skills are required.
  • Strong knowledge of on-the-job safety protocols, and provide regular safety training
  • Strong ability to remain flexible in job hours and location of work.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
